DTF Transfer Pressing Instructions

Follow these guidelines to get the best results when pressing your DTF transfers. Proper heat, pressure, and timing are critical for a long-lasting, vibrant print.

⚠️ Always do a test press on a scrap piece of fabric before pressing your final garment. Settings may vary slightly by heat press brand and fabric type.

Recommended Press Settings

Setting Value
Temperature 305–320°F (152–160°C)
Pressure Medium-firm (40–60 PSI)
Press Time 15–17 seconds
Peel Warm or cold peel
Cover Sheet Recommended (parchment or Teflon sheet)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Pre-press your garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  2. Position your transfer face-down on the garment where you want it placed.
  3. Place a cover sheet (parchment paper or Teflon sheet) over the transfer.
  4. Press for 15–17 seconds at 305–320°F with medium-firm pressure.
  5. Remove the cover sheet and allow to cool slightly.
  6. Peel the film — warm or cold peel both work. Peel slowly and evenly from one corner.
  7. Optional finishing press: Place the cover sheet back over the design and press for an additional 5 seconds for extra adhesion and a matte finish.
